Proud to announce that three campaign ads I directed for Grit Creative were Reed Award winners last night in Atlanta. Named for Campaigns & Elections founder Stanley Foster Reed, The Reed Awards were created to recognize the best of the political industry. Grit brought home awards for “Best TV Ad for a Statewide Campaign” for Daniel Cameron‘s “Lincoln” spot, “Best Villain in a TV Ad” for Daniel Cameron’s “Dirty Bird” spot, and “Best Online Advertising Campaign on a Shoestring Budget” for Allison Ball‘s “Family” spot. Canadian country rocker Cory Marks has released his new video “Better Off.” Shot in Bowling Green, Kentucky, the video is the second sinlge Marks has released from his forthcoming Eleven Seven Music Group LP.

Yesterday we were in Bowling Green shooting a music video for Canadian country-rocker Cory Marks. The video for “Better Off” will be a future single from his yet-to-be-titled Eleven Seven Label Group debut. We also captured a lengthy interview for online content. Marks’ first single “Outlaws and Outsiders” featuring Travis Tritt will release this Friday.
Mongolian rock band THE HU were in Nashville Saturday with a sold out show at Exit/In. But before that, the band shot their new music video for “Song of Women” featuring Halestorm singer Lzzy Hale. The video was directed by Zack Morris (not that one) with myself in the producer chair. Great artists, great crew, and a great video forthcoming!
We’ve had a great campaign season this year with Grit Creative. We finished up today shooting with Kentucky Treasurer Allison Ball in her bid for reelection. Thanks to all the amazing candidates and people we’ve been able to meet and work with. And if you feel the need to go vote, go!
A long weekend was wrapped up in Hopkinsville today with 1st Supreme Court Judge candidate Whitney Westerfield. The current Kentucky State Senator is running for the seat in the forthcoming special election November 6. The shoot was produced for Grit Creative.
Today we were in Louisville, Kentucky shooting a commercial for the gender-neutral clothing company BLōFISH . The company gives 10% of their sales off the top to local charities and organization with over thirty thousand dollars in donations last year. The campaign was a collaboration of BLōFISH and Danville-based agency The Idea Farm. This project was a joy to be a part of.
