“The Battle on Broadway” Short Documentary Release

Today we are releasing our short documentary for Transylvania University vs. University of Kentucky preseason game at Rupp Arena on November 2, 2012 featuring Brian Lane, Don Lane, R. Owen Williams with “The Voice of the Wildcats” Tom Leach, and John Calipari.  Written and directed by Blake Judd.  Produced by Jacob Ennis and Blake Judd.  Edited by Todd Tue.  Music by Dane Dickmann at Dynamix Productions.  There is also a great article about the project at TransySports.com.  Please share and tag.

Kentucky Reptile Zoo Spot

Last Friday, Jacob Ennis and I traveled to Slade, Kentucky, the home of Red River Gorge, to shoot a spot for The Kentucky Reptile Zoo.  Big thanks to Jackie, Rachel, and Jim for giving us the tour and being so great to work with.  Back in October, the curator, Kristen, was nice enough to bring some snakes for the Shooter Jennings “Real Me” video which was shot at Hall Church in Jessamine County, Kentucky and will be airing on CMT in the coming weeks.  If you are in the area, stop in and see the great reptiles that they have.  Plus if you are working on a project, film or otherwise, that you need snakes and/or maybe alligators, they are great people to work with.  Again, was a great pleasure.  Can’t wait to get this out.

After the whirlwind of attending The Nashville Film Festival for the SOLD OUT world premiere of our film, “Charlie Louvin:  Still Rattlin’ The Devil’s Cage“, I must say that the people and experience of NaFF was second to none.   I just want to thank Andrea Coates and my uncle Wes Clark and his wood shop class for our 6’5 Satan, Danna Strong, Jed Hilly and everyone at The Americana Music Association, Rodney Crowell, Jim Lauderdale, Peter Cooper, and Brett Steele for being on the panel, Brian Owens and all the people at the festival, and especially our Devil’s Cage team of Keith Neltner, Brian Steege, Todd Tue, and Jeff Chambers.  This was a huge success and a lot of fun.

LOUVIN FILM FEATURED AT NASHVILLE FILM FESTIVAL
Devil’s Cage Productions is proud to announce our selection in the 2012 film lineup. Our film will premiere April 22 at 3:45 PM and April 23 at 12:45 PM (www.nashvillefilmfestival.org). Blake Judd and Keith Neltner will also contribute in an Americana Music Association sponsored panel discussion about the film and Charlie’s life. Joining them for the discussion will be moderator Peter Cooper, Brette Steele (Charlie’s manager), and Jim Lauderdale (singer/songwriter). A limited number of the 1,000 DVDs run will be available with all proceeds going directly to Ms. Charlie Louvin.
